GRATITUDE CHALLENGE:SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR

First of all I want to say a big thank you to Aby aka Madam Purple for tagging me in the gratitude challenge, I am thankful for her and for her blog, she has been a source of inspiration when my tank is empty.
Sometimes I get carried away with all the activities going on in my life but I always make out time to thank God for all he has done for me. I may not be able to mention all of them but I tell him how grateful I am.

THE RULES OF THIS CHALLENGE
1. When nominated you have 24 hours to accept the challenge.
2. You have to write or say 3 things you are grateful for on any social media platform just once.
3. You are to take a picture of a simple pleasure. A simple pleasure is something that makes (or made) you smile in a day preferably non humans (because I am sure a lot of people would list the humans as what they are grateful for). For example a cup of coffee, a bottle of your favorite soda or drink, a scoopful of ice cream, a butterfly that just perched on a window, something at your work desk, a game…You get the drift. It is something that should be inexpensive. It is not an opportunity to show off cars, watches, shoes and all the things that people like showing off nowadays.
4. You have to give out at least 5 USD (convert it to your local currency) within 7 days of accepting the challenge to a less privileged person or a cause or a charity organization. That's about 840 naira.
5. You nominate three people (within your circle) to take up the challenge.
6. If you don’t accept the challenge you are required to donate at least 20 USD to a charity organization of your choice.

I AM GRATEFUL FOR...
1. Love: Love is power, and I feel more powerful when I love people. I am grateful that I have grown to become a more loving person and it gives me so much joy just to show love to other people especially people who have lost hope.
2. Good health: I have not been to the hospital for a long time and the last time I went sef na because I go do test nofin serious. I thank God daily for that.
3. My Job: God has surprised me so much this year and I am grateful. I thank God that I am not jobless even if I don't have all the degrees yet.

MY SIMPLE PLEASURE
I am so grateful for my nails...it grows so fast, I wrapped and polished it #Naturalnails

So, I am nominating...drumrolls....

Finally I am grateful that I can blog and you can read...Enjoy your weekend and God bless you real good.

KEEP UP WITH BLOOM: PACKING FEVER :(

Before I begin today, I want to state that this book I am holding in this photograph is all I need to get all I want out of life! I have decided to follow God's way because its the only way that works for me.

Remember that, the first person to leave a comment wins free airtime...start commenting (Nigerian readers only)...leave your email address after your comment.

On Friday, I couldn't go to church because it was raining heavily and I kinda had work to do in the office but that is not an excuse tho...I just wasn't feeling up to it before I go dey roast goat for church...what is roasting goat? it is the process of sleeping, and your mouth is opened in the process...get the picture?
So I also finished a book I have been reading recently...Making Marriage Work by Joyce Meyer...and It was amazing, lemme show you the pishure
I am always proud of myself anytime I finish a book and these days I am all about the marriage books...I am learning a lot and I don't plan to stop. I plan to build a library pretty soon.

On Saturday, I had to do some office movement and then I had to face my greatest fear...MOVING!!! I am moving to a new apartment by God's grace and I am happy but I wish someone could pack my things for me :( .
I have been procrastinating but I cannot fight it anymore, so decided to start moving my belongings little by little. I managed to move my clothes from my closet to my box...hehehe proud of me. I just wonder how I go pack go my husband house???

Sunday...I had a great time in the presence of my father and I felt refreshed...lemme show you what I wore to church first before I gist you what happened after church.

Nobody buys me dresses like my mother inlaw...chai she is an Angel.

So..the gist, I was cooking  Sunday rice o after church, naim gas finish...JEHOV!!!! I almost cried, has that ever happened to you? I don't wish that on anyone abeg...thank God I had money at home so I rushed to go fill it up...and I ate my rice.

THE 4TH COMMANDMENT.

The series; 10 commandments to financial healing is still on-going o, I hope you guys are following? I trust that we are learning a thing or two, tho I feel bad sometimes that I do not get feedback but either way I would go on, I believe someone out there is being blessed by this.

Ok on to today's commandment...

Be prepared for what tomorrow brings.
No matter what, please commit to preparing yourself financially for the unexpected. This is something that most of us do not do and I used to be GUILTY!!! But thank God I have learnt my lesson and I have started preparing myself financially.
Sometimes I blame it on the economy, my income or the fact that most Nigerian private firms enjoy cheap labour but the truth is you cannot use what you do not have and if emergency arises, its not a fun thing to be running from pillar to post looking for who to borrow money from.

We have to use wisdom as it relates to our finances, wisdom is one of the key foundations to successfully obtaining financial healing.
Ask yourself now, would an unexpected expense set you back or would you be able to handle it and get back on your feet? As you spend your money remember to plan for the unexpected...Insure your house and cars, save for emergencies and don't forget to invest because most times when all is lost, all you can fall back to are your investments.
Its not a matter of what if, but when the rain falls...We have to be prepared for what tomorrow brings.

Thanks for always reading.

God bless you abundantly

But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children's children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments.

KEEP UP WITH BLOOM: LAST DAYS!!!

Hey guys! How was your weekend? Don't really know how mine disappeared sha...weekends are really made in china and na the lowest grade.

Apologies for my absence on Friday, it was due to a very busy schedule, today is equally busy but I already told myself I must post today...so here I am.

Lets begin with Friday...oh by the way, been thinking of a way to thank my followers and readers for always been there and I came up with a brilliant idea. The first of leave a comment gets free airtime from me!!!
So lets get commenting...please leave your email after your comment and you'll hear from moi. Applicable to only Nigerian Readers please.

So about Friday, I went to church after work as usual and it was an awesome time in the presence of God. Its always a great time tho...I usually do not do any other thing after church because by the time I am done, it should be about 9pm and all I want to do is sleep. So that was how Friday went.

On Saturday, I was up early because I had loads of things to do...and that was how my day just went vavavoom.

On Sunday, Oh! One of my best days in the week and it was amazing just singing and dancing in my father's presence and I smiled home afterwards and at my sunday rice and slept...Shinning teeth.
I really don't have plenty activities for now, some people say my life is boring but I say my life is peaceful and I enjoy minding my business.
Anyhoo...

Loving my new mani...all smiles

What I wore to my father's house on Sunday...

So, you might be wondering what I meant when I said LAST DAYS huh? Oh well with the recent happenings in the world, I do believe Jesus is coming soon and I urge you all to love each other, be good to people, pray and live ready because the end is near.
Ok bye...

COMMANDMENT 3

Woo Hoo, How are you guys doing today? How market? Hope your week has been blessed so far?

So I don come today with number 3 today o and I hope you are ready? Read number 1 HERE and number 2 HERE to catch up.

COMMANDMENT 3

Let your budget inspire you.
We hear it all the time, we must spend within our budget, don't live above your means but what does this really mean?
Many people spend aimlessly without preparing a budget and as a result, they usually run into financial stress. But there is help and darris why you are reading this post.

Create a budget!
A budget is simply a listing of expected income and expenses for a period of time. A budget should be prepared at the beginning of the month or periodically with the understanding that it is a flexible document (feel like a lecturer right now).
Ok! so moving on...you should budget for all expected expenses because a budget serves as a road map to reach financial goals.

Let your budget inspire you daily, If you want to obtain victory over your financial life, consider taking steps towards living within your budget. If the need is not an emergency and you have already written your budget for the month, you should not allocate money to it.
Its not always easy I tell you but it can be done...just trust God and he'll help you.

I hope this has helped someone make a decision today? Until tomorrow when I come again with the 4th commandment, keep tithing, keep declaring and stay blessed.

Hugs & Kisses

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

FINANCIAL HEALING CONTINUED

COMMANDMENT 2

Plan your Financial future.
How is your financial future? I ask myself all the time...

God tells us in his word that the plans of the diligent will lead to profit, however those who are hasty or fail to plan will certainly lead to poverty.

In order to obtain our financial healing, we must implement a plan for our finances. This way, unexpected expenses, unemployment or illness will not cause our financial house to be shaken.
No matter how little you earn, you should have a financial plan.

Its not always easy, especially when you have a lot of responsibilities but we can do it. One thing that I always do is WRITE! There is great power in writing, it is very essential to write down things most especially your financial goals.
I love to write, it calms me down. If I feel tensed financially, I write down a budget or a plan and do some calculations and the tension just goes away.

So I want to encourage you today to write down your goals, because there is nothing as powerful as putting your thoughts on paper. And don't just stop there, DECLARE and DECREE it.
Wake up each morning declaring your financial goals will come to pass.
Post your goals somewhere you can see them daily and allow your goals to be a constant reminder of where you are going, It would encourage you when deciding whether to purchase a pair of shoes or save.
Understand that making these small sacrifices would reduce your financial burden and allow you to live a financial healing lifestyle.

If you missed out on Commandment 1, read it HERE and let me know what you think.

Thanks for your devotion to this blog, God bless you abundantly.

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

10 COMMANDMENTS TO FINANCIAL HEALING

I am no expert but I have taken time out to study about financial healing and I thought to share with my blog fam.
Hello sweeties, how are you today? Its a calm day at work and I have wanted to share this for so long.

I call it the 10 COMMANDMENTS TO FINANCIAL HEALING, I don't mean to sound too religious but this has worked for me so far and I believe it would help someone make better decisions. I am not where I want to be yet but I am definitely not where I used to be.
Looking back, I think I deserve a pat on the back because I know I have become a better person and it has been because I study a lot and I follow the books (The word of God).

Lemme not mary-go-round, lets get to it.

COMMANDMENT 1

Put God first in your finances.
As I grew older and started earning money, I decided I would commit to tithing. So I did! With a fixed income, I decided I would trust God. Amazingly, my income would stretch and I never went totally broke.
After learning this simple lesson, I decided I would remain faithful in the area of tithing and to be a blessing to others no matter what.
The thought of giving up money can be very fearful, I know...been there, done that!. I questioned whether I would be able to meet my needs, been that I had to make financial decisions early in life.
When I speak to people about tithing, many are scared that they would be unable to make it if they commit to God. But the reality is, you can't afford not to! God tells us in Malachi 3:10
"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and try me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it."
You have to trust him in advance. You can't give to God and go hungry.
Deciding to trust God with my finances is the best decision I have ever made and it requires a faithful commitment to God.
When you decide to trust God and tithe, there may be distractions that get you off track but BEWARE because its only a test.
Stay true to your commitment and you will see God's blessings in your life.

Do I have any witness? Have you been a tither? What has been your experience so far?
Please tell me, I would love to know.
Watch this space for commandment 2.

Thanks for reading, I love you from the bottom pot of my heart.

Hugs & kisses

He gives strength to the weak. And those who have no might, He increases strength.

KEEP UP WITH BLOOM: WET!

Hello guys, how are you today?
Happy new week and if I haven't said Happy New Month, there it is.

How was your weekend? Mine was wet, It has been raining everyday since Friday, guess its officially rainy season.
Lemme gist you about my weekend sha, didn't do much but lemme still share.
On Friday, as usual I went to church after work and It was great. Sometimes all I want to do is just sit in the presence of God and worship, He gives me hope. When people are telling me how I can't do this and that, God just holds me up and shows me the way to go...that's why I am always glad to go into the house of the Lord because he makes my life beautiful.

On Saturday, I planned a stay at home day, just to sleep and read but something came up and I had to rush out of the house and that is how I did not have my lazy Saturday.

Sunday was a rainy day, sadly I couldn't take any pictures. I was cold and I don't know how I forgot sha. LOL so no pictures for you guys today.

Gist me about your weekend na...your comments would calm my nerves.

Thanks for reading

Hey guys! TGIF!!!!! hehehe how are you guys doing today? Its another food Friday, so lets get to it.

Firstly I want to acknowledge the fact that I am a mini foodie! I say mini because I can stay without going to a fast food, I would rather make my own meal. That is not to say that I do not eat out o…I do especially on most special occasions with the fiancé.
Lately I got major inspiration from a food blog I bumped into 9jafoodie.com and I must confess she is amazing! I have never seem Nigerian food look so good.
I have always wanted to do food posts hence my Food Friday posts so far, HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE . And I have always wanted to try out recipes and share with you guys but anytime I start I always stop halfway, its either I don’t find some of the ingredients I need or time no dey.

But I am here to announce to you that very very very soon I go start!. I have gathered a lot of courage and inspiration and I think I am ready. Its going to be a Friday-Friday post as we have declared it a food day already.
I know I would get loads of support from you guys, questions and suggestions are welcome as this is a new phase for this blog and I would need all the help I can get.

KEEP UP WITH BLOOM: GOT MY GROOVE BACK!!!

What have I been up to? Hmmm a whole lot! Sometimes I have to pinch myself because I do not know how I got so busy.
Hey sweeties, long time huh? yea...I'm back now!
So this is supposed to be a Monday post but I had to go make my hair and when I got back I went straight to bed, and then on Tuesday I was just lazy and on Wednesday I was so busy at work plus I forgot my laptop at home, hence the Thursday keep up with bloom.
Happy holidays however, Eid Mubarak in arias to all my Muslim readers, hope you had a swell time?

My weekend was ok, on Friday after work, I headed for church but as I dey reach, if you see rain? Jehovah! Plus traffic! Hmmm I just diverted my journey o, cos taxis do not enter the church premises and my ‘I better pass my neighbor umbrella’ go just serve God, so to avoid stories that touch, I cucuma turn back.
On Saturday, my plan was to be out of the house at 9am but mehn sleep carry me go reach 10am, so I left the house at about 11am. Had to go pick up a parcel and do some running around. What got me upset on Saturday was that my mum sent a parcel from portharcourt through God is good transport services and they really got me pissed. I do not intend to ruin their business so I would not talk about it. BUT if it happens again, I would definitely rant o, no turning back.
On Sunday, I went to church, went to pick up the parcel that had not arrived and went back home to take a nap. I am so glad I got to rest throughout this weekend and holiday.
I hope you guys had a splendid weekend and holiday? I sure would like to hear about yours.

Here is what wore to church on Sunday...
Iro and Buba fever :)

BLOODY HYPOCRITES!!!

Hello ma niggas! Howfar? How market? Biko how do you guys deal with hypocrites????? Especially in the work place? Because I have had it up to my throat.
Sorry about the way I started this post today but I just want to rant a little, shey I am permitted? Yes thank you.
So like I was saying, the way some people treat junior staff is heart breaking...because he is a security man or a utility staff doesn't mean we are in anyway better than him, yes he might not have a degree but he is a human being and he has a family and God loves him.
The Security man in my office was sent on an errand yesterday under the heavy downpour and he was drenched to his underwear...I was close to tears when he returned shivering and with no change of clothes. Then we lift up holy hands praising God when we pray expecting him to hear us? Hell no! He values human life more than our praise and worship or even our prayers.
When one sisi is leading prayers and another sisi dey eye the person wey dey lead JEHOV! Lord have mercy on us all.
How someone can interrupt and on going devotion with a shout because she came late and someone was standing on the walk way praying to his God...I wonder what God thinks of us sometimes, thank God for his mercies because if na old testament we dey eh! I dunno what would have happened.

There is a lot more that I wish to say but mehn lemme transfer aggression.

I love you all...

HOW TO EMPOWER YOUR MAN

Hey Sweeties, How are you doing today? Been so busy lately but I am here with an interesting topic today and i'm going to be telling you how you can empower your husband (for my married ladies), your bobo or your fiance...This post is not just for the ladies o, guys read well o and share the link with the woman in your life so she can learn.
Ok! Ladies, I am about to tell you something that you probably already know and the guys really want you to know too.
Guys like to pretend that they are totally confident 100% of the time, but the truth is that most guys are still a little insecure.
When you demonstrate to your man that you believe in him or show that you trust him to handle things that you care about, it actually empowers him to keep bringing his A-game to the relationship.

When he knows that you are on his side, it triggers what the behavioral scientists call the "protect and provide" instinct (otherwise known as the 'hero-gene').
You see, at any given moment a man can be:-
  • His defeat self
  • His average self
  • His best self
Believe it or not, what you say to your man carries a tremendous amount of weight...So lets get down to it.

Here are 5 ways you can empower your man.
  1. Catch him doing something right : Sometimes, we ladies take multi-tasking to a whole new level...its amazing to a man when he sees you on the phone and you are changing the baby's diapers and at the same time cooking dinner AH! That's awesome *high five ladies*. I know some guys can multitask too kudos to them but when your man who isn't really a multitask-er (if there is any word like that) get the little things right, give him a high five or a fist bump or better still a kiss, it truly goes a long way.
  2. Flirt with ya Man : When you flirt with your man, it reminds him that you still find him attractive and because men are generally physical beings, showing him you still find him attractive boosts his self esteem and increases his emotional connection with you.
  3. Thank him for his dedication : We always do things better when we are acknowledged for effort. Tie your man's effort to how it has positively impacted the relationship/family. By doing this, your man will feel even more motivated to increase his consistency and up his game...write him a thank you note or take him out to dinner just to say thank you.
  4. Initiate Sex more often : Ok! so this is for my married ladies in d house...I can't start this sex preaching so I would just skip to the advice I have. This is a big one! No one likes to feel rejected, even if you have been married for 30 years, please realize that this is a very sensitive area in your marriage and it never gets old, it can only get better. When you take the initiative in this area from time to time, it reinforces in his mind what he means to you and it builds intimacy.
  5. Quote him to your friends : Its one thing to share some advice from a book you just read and its another thing entirely when the resident expert is your man...Try it for yourself, the next time you are out with your man and friends, say something like "my husband always says" or "my boo always says" (Just make sure you are quoting right sha) and watch how it lights him up.
  6. Trust him : If you want to boost your man's confidence and sense of contribution, trust him to do something he knows you are a little afraid to let go. Yes! he may have let you down in the past but give him another chance (bobo please do not let us down o). When he realizes that something means a lot to you and that you trust him to accomplish it, he would put in his best.
So darris it ladies and gentle men...hope this post was helpful? Leave a comment below if it was biko lemme know what you think.

I MADE A MISTAKE!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Hey guys, happy mid-week...how are you guys doing? I know I am just coming and going, its not fair shey? I am so sorry but I would try my best to be more frequent from now on, I have settled in well on my new job so I can plan my schedule well now.

Today's topic is a very serious matter, its about what you should do when you make mistakes, do you beat yourself up and wallow in your misery or do you admit your wrongs, get up, dust yourself and move on?
In work places today, you see a lot of ADULTS making mistakes and not owning up to them, and that is sad. A mature individual should be able to take responsibility for mistakes they make and move on.

If I am to use my work place as an example, the list would be endless but I just want to encourage us to own up to mistakes, take responsibility for your actions, forgive yourself and move on. Life is too damn short.

Wishing my lovely readers a wonderful thursday and friday! I'll write again soon.
I love you guys

FOOD FRIDAY: EAT FRESH!

Hello my lovely readers, Long time no blog abi? don't mind me, I have been so busy. I decided to squeeze out some time out of my busy schedule and do a food friday post...I am excited about today's topic.

On to the matter of the day, do you know the difference between fresh and processed foods? hmmm maybe or maybe not, but that is why I am here to tell you the benefits of choosing fresh food.

First of all...What is processed food?
Processed foods have been altered from their natural state for safety reasons and for convenience. Processing methods include canning, freezing, refrigeration, dehydration and aseptic processing.

You ask why are processed foods unhealthy?
Processed foods contain extra trans and saturated fats, extra sodium and sugar, most times, nutrients are removed to make the food last longer or look better, higher ratio of calories, ingredients in processed foods are often of low quality but disguised by use of the processing, and food additives have little nutritional value etc.

What types of food are processed?
  • Canned foods.
  • White breads and pastas made with refined white flour.
  • Packaged high‐calorie snack foods, like chips.
  • Frozen fish sticks and frozen dinners
  • Packaged cakes and cookies.
  • Sugary breakfast cereals etc.

We should all know the health risks associated with eating processed foods
  • Processed meats increase your risk of colorectal, kidney and stomach cancer
  • Excess sugar and salt intake can lead to high blood pressure, weight gain, and diabetes.
  • Food additives may cause adverse health effects.

But not all processed food is bad…
Frozen vegetables are usually processed within hours of harvest, there is little nutrient loss in the freezing process so frozen vegetables retain their high vitamin and mineral content.

I know its not easy especially in naija but here are some reasons to choose fresh food instead
  • Fresh food has not been processed other than by washing, cooking, and simple kitchen preparation.
  • Fresh food contains more of naturally‐occurring vitamins, fiber and minerals than processed food
  • Essential nutrients in fresh food may protect you from cancer, high blood pressure, heart disease and Type 2 diabetes
  • Eating fresh produce gives you more energy, helps reduce weight gain and may even reduce the effects of aging
  • Yellow, orange, red, green and purple fruits and vegetables generally contain the most phyto-chemicals which reduce the risk for cancer.

So instead of APPLE JUICE, eat an APPLE instead  because it has more fiber and no added sugar, instead of WHITE BREAD, eat WHOLE WHEAT BREAD because it’s higher in fiber, vitamins B6 and E, magnesium, zinc, folic acid and chromium.

I hope you get where I am coming from o because e no easy, not saying I do it all but we can get better. Most times the processed food is sweeter but our health is very important.

Thanks for reading, its good to be back.

KEEP UP WITH BLOOM: HOLYHILL EDX VOLUNTEER TEACHERS TRAINING, EASTER SUNDAY

Happy Easter Everybody! How was your weekend? Mine was great and eventful...I would love to hear about your weekend, be sure to leave a comment below.

So about my weekend, It was great and I woke up this morning with a smile because today is a public holiday...somebody say Hallelujah!!!

On Friday, was glad it was a public holiday so I had time for my clients and I went to an Easter drama in my church called "The Twisted Rainbow"...It was great and it just reminded me of what matters most in life which is obedience to God.

On Saturday, I attended the Holyhill Edx Volunteer Teachers Training in Abuja and it was great! Have you heard about it? It is the brainchild of Holyhill Church Abuja, they are passionate about the younger generation getting quality education.
This was the second batch of the volunteer teachers training and it was great...This is an opportunity to give back to the community by improving public education in Nigeria. We are all busy, we all have a lot of things to do but very little time to do them but there are kids in public schools all over the nation who aren't  getting quality education, we can fold our hands and watch because our kids might never have to go to a public schools, we can even blame the government, or better still we can be the change we want to see and sacrifice our time and invest in the life of a child.
Save the Future, Teach a child today. Call 092909145 or send an email to edx.holyhill@gmail.com or follow on twitter @holyhilledx for all the details you need.
Here are some pictures from the event...Enjoy

HOW TO: PAMPER YOUR ARMPITS

Hey sweeties, how are you guys doing today? I am so excited today...God has been good to me.
How is your going? Today is another HOW TO Wednesday and I am happy to bring to you guys HOW TO PAMPER YOUR ARMPITS!
A lot of people overlook this part of their body because it is usually under clothes but It is a important as every other part of your body and should be pampered as well.

So lets begin...
1. CLEANSE DAILY AND EXFOLIATE REGULARLY
Lather on body wash and massage into your armpits using a wash cloth, then rinse thoroughly. The goal is to
gently get rid of any dried sweat or debris buildup. If you have super-sensitive skin, you can use a gentle facial cleanser or look for a body wash formulated for sensitive skin. It is also very important to use an exfoliating scrub under your arms at least twice a week, always exfoliate before shaving and don't over do it. If you start to see irritation, you are either scrubbing too hard or shaving with the wrong products.

2. SHAVE MINDFULLY
A study shows that 36% of what you actually remove when you shave is skin. This process can be rough on armpits, often sapping skin of about half of its moisture. To help counteract the dehydrating effect and avoid cuts, be sure to replace your shaving blade as often as possible and when it comes  to protection, shave gels are a better choice than soap or body-wash because they are formulated with glycerin. This ingredient helps skin absorb and retain moisture and keeps the product in place when you shave, creating a smooth surface for the razor to gently glide across.
Dry shaving is never a good idea, but you may find yourself in a situation where you have no other option. If this happens, use a moisturizer before and immediately after shaving to help avoid irritation.

3. ALWAYS TOWEL OFF
It is important to dry the underarms thoroughly after showering. If you do not not pat skin dry,you risk trapping moisture in the area which may lead to dryness and flakiness.

4. MOISTURIZE OFTEN
Most of us moisturize our legs, arms, hands and feet and diligently use creams on our face and neck leaving our underarms out...(guilty as charged). But moisturizing the underarm at least twice a week will help combat parched skin and ingrown hairs. Those with coarse and thick hair should moisturize more often because they are more prone to ingrown hairs.

5.PICK THE RIGHT DEODORANT
Choose a deodorant that is filled with nourishing ingredients and moisturizers. Look out for deodorants that contain sunflower seed oil, which helps retain moisture and calendula (marigold), known to heal dry, damaged and patched skin.

Prevention is better than cure, but If you already have dark underarms there is hope...Here are 10 Ways to get rid of dark underarms by Miss Glam.

I hope this post was helpful, if you know any other way to pamper the armpits please leave a comment below, I would love to hear from you.

FOOD FRIDAY: HEALTH BENEFITS OF BEANS

Yo Yo Yo Its friday *now moonwalking* lol...How are guys doing? and what have you got planned for the weekend? As for me I plan to attend the Abuja Wed Expo tomorrow and Sunday yaaaay! since I missed the lagos edition, I am seriously looking forward to this one.
Sooooo today is food friday and I would be telling some health benefits of  BEANS!!!! Yea beans...right some of you are already thinking gas right? Relax its not that bad.

Ok lets dive into this...Beans (also known as legumes or pulses) belong to an extremely large category of vegetables (Did you know that?) and they have a lot of health benefits.
They....

  • lower cholesterol levels
  • improve diabetics' blood glucose control
  • reduce risk of many cancers
  • lower blood pressure
  • regulate functions of the colon
  • prevent and cure constipation
  • prevent piles and other bowel problems

And they are a rich source of fibre, so beans don't only make you fart they also help in other ways too.

I love the normal beans with palm oil and lots of crayfish, served with dodo and I also love baked beans. Whats your favorite beans meal?
