FOOD FRIDAY: 23 Reasons to eat Banana

So please get clicking and find out what has been going on...

Today I am kicking off with How to use Coconut oil for your hair...I use coconut oil to deep condition my hair and also to seal in moisture.
Using coconut oil is a wonderful natural way to make your hair and skin soft, radiant and healthy. Toss out your deep conditioners and lotions - you don't need them anymore! A jar of unrefined coconut oil is an all-purpose moisturizer great for all hair variations. If you want to learn how to use coconut oil on your hair, keep reading.

When using coconut oil to deep condition your hair, be sure to first of all put on old clothes. Coconut oil can get a little drippy, so put on an old t-shirt or drape a towel around your shoulders to prevent it from getting on your nice clothes. It's best to start the conditioning treatment in your bathroom, but you'll be able to move around while you let it soak into your hair for a few hours.

You can use a plastic shower cap, a large sheet of plastic wrap, or a second old t-shirt to wrap up your hair. Choose something you'll be able to keep in place for several hours, or even overnight...a plastic shower cap is advisable sha so the oil can be retained.

Measure a few tablespoons of coconut oil into a bowl. The amount of coconut oil you'll need depends on the length and thickness of your hair. If you have long, thick hair, use at least 5 tablespoons; if your hair is shorter and thinner, you only need 3 or 4 tablespoons.
Use unrefined, rather than refined, coconut oil. Refined coconut oil has additives and is put through processes that remove some of the natural compounds that make it so healthy for your hair.
It's also okay if you accidentally use more coconut oil than your hair really needs. It's all going to be washed out anyway

Put the bowl in the microwave and cook it for about 30 seconds on high. Give it a stir and cook it for another 30 seconds, until it has completely melted. You want the oil just warm enough to melt so it becomes easier to apply to your hair.
You can also melt coconut oil with your hands if you don't have a microwave. Melt one tablespoon at a time by holding it between your palms and gently pushing them together. Coconut oil melts with very little heat.
You can also heat up coconut oil with a gas cooker. Scoop it into a small saucepan and heat it up over low heat.
You can also heat up coconut oil by running the jar under hot water in a sink until it melts which will only take a few seconds.

Rub the coconut oil into your hair. Let it cool down for a few moments so it's not piping hot, then pour the coconut oil around the top of your head, evenly distributing it around your scalp. Use your fingers to massage it in and smooth it down your hair shaft all the way to the tips. Continue massaging it into your hair until your hair is completely drenched in coconut oil.
You can use a comb to help you distribute the oil evenly. Pull it down from your roots to your tips.
If you just want to condition the ends of your hair, rather than the roots, apply the coconut oil to the ends of your hair instead of pouring it over your scalp. Massage it in with your hands

Place your shower cap, plastic wrap, or old t-shirt over your head and wrap it up so that your hair is completely covered.
You can secure your hair with a loose hair band to help it all stay wrapped up on top of your head and use a towel to wipe away drips that might have gotten on your face during the wrapping process.

The longer you keep it in your hair, the more conditioned your hair will be. Wait as long as you can manage for best effect, Use your favorite shampoo (preferably one with natural ingredients, to keep your hair healthy) to wash out the coconut oil. Wash it two or three times, until your hair no longer feels oily and then dry, you can air dry or blow dry either ways you would see the effects of the conditioning treatment, your hair should be soft, shiny and gleaming after this special coconut oil application.

Extra Info...
A small amount of this oil goes a long way. Be careful not to use too much.
Coconut oil is around 90 percent effective at getting rid of lice when rubbed into the scalp.
Coconut oil makes the hair healthier and can help it grow faster when you apply it more.
Do not leave the oil for more than a day without washing it. It will make your hair smell bad and become greasy.
If you color your hair at home, coconut oil can be used to help reduce the damage from the chemicals by adding moisture. Apply a couple drops in your dye bottle mix it well before using.

So guys I hope this post was helpful...Thanks for reading

  • Bananas make you smarter and help with learning by making you more alert. Eat a banana before an exam to benefit from the high levels of potassium.
  • Bananas are high in antioxidants, providing free radicals and protection from chronic disease.
  • Eating a banana between meals helps stabilize blood sugar and reduce nausea from morning sickness.
  • Rub a bug bite with the inside of the banana peel to relieve itching and irritation.
  • Control blood sugar and avoid binging between meals by eating a banana.
  • Eating a banana can lower the body temperature and cool you during a fever or on a hot day.

Oh, and remember bananas make great snacks and delicious smoothies.

Now you know why monkeys are so happy. Eat a banana today...hehehe I hope I have been able to convince you to eat bananas, If you know any other reason why we should eat bananas please leave a comment below, would love to hear from you.

On Sunday I went to church and when I got back there was no light and we no get fuel for gen...hmmm this fuel scarcity no funny o,we embarked on a hunt for black market, eventually we found.
But something strange happened in the evening, one minute there was light and then PHCN did what they know how to do best TAKE LIGHT! and then I put on my torch light to go switch on the gen and insects surrounded my phone, I rushed to turn on the gen...lo and behold my house was full of termites like over 200 (I am not kidding) it was so scary ooo, we (my sis,my bro and I) killed them with insecticide.
That has never happened before and I have never seen anything like it...Thank God it wasn't cockroaches o. Has this happened to you before? Please tell me...and I would like to know how you dealt with it.
Anyway, that was how my weekend ended o. How was your weekend?
